Turning a Diagnostic Score Into an Action Plan
How to translate a 15-minute risk diagnostic into a 30-60-90 remediation roadmap your engineering team will actually execute.
RAZR Advisory
A diagnostic score is only useful if it becomes work that gets shipped. The teams that get value from ours share three habits.
1. Translate categories into owners
Every finding needs a named owner before it leaves the readout. "Platform team" is not an owner — a person is.
2. Sequence by blast radius, not by score
A medium-severity finding on a production database beats a high-severity finding on a sandbox account. Weight by what the finding can reach, not just its raw score.
3. Ship the 30-day list in 30 days
The single biggest predictor of a successful remediation program is whether the first month's list actually closes on time. Everything else follows from that first delivery.
- Days 1-30: quick wins that don't require design work.
- Days 31-60: changes that need a small design doc but no cross-team coordination.
- Days 61-90: structural changes that need buy-in from two or more teams.
